Power Lab Vacation Bible School!

We are having so much fun this week at VBS. Tonight is the last night and I will post some pictures this weekend. Mark and I are both Professor Storms and Professor Storms. I help him lead music and have been doing skits each night with Professor Wilma (Joanne). I've been dressing crazy and wearing one of my labs coats and the kids seem to be having a blast! Nolan even loves being over in the preschool; every day he asks about going to Bible School. The Lord is really doing a work in all of us, kids and adults alike. The music is fun but the hard part is that one of the songs is "Untitled Hymn (Come to Jesus)". It's so hard for me to make it through without crying because Ms. Pam and some of her dancers danced so beautifully to that song at Olivia's memorial service almost four years ago.....

Super Nolan

Nolan loves to call himself Super Nolan and here is his first cape. Please excuse the missing pants!

Nolan's First Tricycle

Nolan's feet can't quite reach the pedals to push but he's excited about his first ride!

Father's Day

We had a nice lunch after church with Daddy, Nolan, Meemah, and Pa then naps and chilling at home. Mark is a wonderful Daddy and we are so blessed to have him!! We love you Daddy!

2 Corinthians 6:18"I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

First Day at the Dentist

Nolan went to the dentist for the first time today! So I meant to bring my camera and of course! If I don't drop whatever is in my hand at the moment I think of it to go get it, I forget it. Arrrggg! Anyway, it went very well. Mark went with us and Nolan saw the pediatric dentist, Dr. Duffy. Her office is amazing - a "tree of life" which really looks like a tree that has a slide and you can climb through the trunk. When we walked in, we could see the staff having prayer time behind the glass. That is cool! I found the coffee bar really nice and Mark took to the massage chair in the waiting room right away! There was a little movie theater in the waiting room but we didn't have a chance to watch any of it because there was virtually no wait. (they have first timers come first thing in the morning). Nolan did really great during the cleaning with the "tickle brush" and "Mr. Slurpy". He cried a little when the dentist herself came in to count his teeth and check for cavities. She said his teeth look great with no cavities! However, his teeth are crowded because his jaws are more v-shaped than u-shaped so we need to start saving now for orthodontics. No surprise there since both Mark and I had braces for at least 3 years...... here's her website: www.debraduffydds.com
