Beautiful Wednesday

It's so gorgeous outside - sunny and high of 72 degrees! So glad the harsh (for us) winter is over! Nolan started his very first sport ever yesterday - Upward Soccer with his Daddy, Coach Storms as his head coach! Nolan loved every minute of it and we enjoyed it immensely too. It was their first practice. They have next week off for spring break and then practice once a week with their first games starting the Saturday before Easter. I took some wonderful pictures and I will post them as soon as I get them on the computer... my goal is to work on that today. I was just thinking that I need to keep up with the blog for the relatives who are not on Facebook. Sorry, family! I'm turning over a new leaf just for you! Please forgive me.... Anyway, Caleb is doing great - growing into a linebacker and loves to eat :) He is a cuddly baby who is a joy to have and hold - what a blessing!

Caleb Andrew is here!

Oh, I'm soooooo behind on the blog! Caleb is 7 weeks old today and is such a joy. What a precious little man who keeps us on our toes. He goes from content to very loud crying pretty quickly! He's overall pretty content and is starting to be more expressive - so sweet! He was born on November 24th at 10:57 pm at 7 lbs 2 oz. He was born 6 days before the induction date because he was ready to come out.... I was in labor but my body was not progressing the way it needed to and my OB was hesitant to push the induction medication because of my scar from a prior c-section with Nolan so we ended up doing another c-section but I've healed great! The Lord has so provided for us all and gave us a wonderful new son - thank you for your prayers!!

Sorry it's been so long!

Wow, I just realized how long it's been since I've updated my blog. I'm so plugged into Facebook, the poor blog is getting put on the back burner..... anyway, 2 weeks from Monday is the big induction date as long as baby Caleb behaves and stays in the cooker! Been feeling pretty good overall except the expected tiredness that comes from being this pregnant and not sleeping well at night (bad back, sore hips, etc, etc). We are getting so excited! Nolan is thrilled too :) Mark has been working like a madmad getting the Christmas concert ready to go and we do have a number if things to do around the house.... oh, well, are you ever really ready?? Thank you for your prayers!

We have a date!

The induction date for baby Caleb Andrew is.... November 30th! 6 weeks and 6 days to go Lord willing! The OB appointment went really well again yesterday.... unbelievable that there's been no change so far :) Mark's recovering from the flu and I kept Nolan home from preschool today just as a precaution because he's got congestion but that's all and is not acting sick at all. Just thought I'd keep an eye on him. I'm on Tamiflu to help prevent getting the flu since I'm pregnant. Please pray that the flu will leave our home for good and that we will all be ok! Thank you!

been forgetting to update!

Everything has been going well! With the pregnancy comes some loss of brain cells I'm sure.... Have had some contractions here and there with a little monitoring in Labor and Delivery just to be sure but all has been perfectly normal and fine - praise the Lord! I have medicine to take for contractions and that works pretty good. I've not had to take any the past few days which is good. Caleb is just getting bigger and bigger! Can't wait to hold my little man.
This picture was from my birthday in August.... I'm much bigger now and need to download from the camera to the computer... maybe this week :)

Caleb and Mommy still doing great!

Everything is still going well with my body and the pregnancy! Caleb is active and I passed my glucose tolerance test which means no gestational diabetes. They test all pregnant women for this now. I'm so glad! Thank you for all of your prayers!

OB appointment on 8/31

Praising God!! Still so good.... my body has no measurement changes and Caleb is growing well. I can't believe I'm in my 3rd trimester and not on bed rest yet! Still limited activity with as much off my feet as possible but this is amazing! I go back in 2 weeks for the glucose tolerance test and am praying that I pass it and do not have gestational diabetes.... the risk goes up with age but praying for the best! Thank you all for your prayers!
